running calculation with film

Post by Bert »

I recently moved WUFI 5.1 from my laptop (XP) to my desktop (Windows 7)
When I run calculations with film, it seems to work just fine, until I try to change properties to IP. I have IP set as default, should it not carry that over to the film?
It hangs up and I have to use task manager to close the program.

Any Ideas?

looks like the problem is with Animator1d, NOT WUFI.
Running 64 bit machine.

Hello Bert,

I have a Win7 64 bit machine, too and just tried to use WUFI and Animation1D in IP for WUFI Pro 5.1 and see no problems.

I think there is a special problem on your machine. Maybe some "Virtual Store" issues.

Manfred,

did you try to change "properties"?
It runs fine as long as I leave the props set to metric.
It locks up the second I hit the properties button.

Manfred,
my apologies. should have read your post better.
I see where you did try changing to IP.

Our IT department has no idea what's going on.
What do you mean by "Virtual Store" issue?

Manfred,
that's not the problem. I have full administrative rights and there is no folder called virtual store.
I did download and re-install this morning, but it did not change anything.
As soon as I select "properties", it locks up.

Apparently something on my end, but unable to figure it out.

Try to delete the file Animation1D.kfg, which is located in the same folder that Animation1D.exe

Guten Morgen, Manfred,
Issue resolved. I have a dual monitor setup and somehow the screen where you change properties disappears into la-la land.
Everything works fine when I set it to single monitor.

Thought I'd let you know in case somebody else has the same problem.
Not sure yet what settings to change to make it work.

Oh, and go Dortmund!
