Water content of assebly layers: importing values from file

Post by Bonilauri » Sun Aug 13, 2017 2:59 am -1100

Hello,
I'm trying to save the resulting water content values from one WUFI calculation, and import them into another WUFI file as initial conditions.

I saved the results as ASCII file, but I cannot import them into the second WUFI file. Is this the right way to do it?

Thank you!

You have to export the temperature and water content profiles in two separate files, otherwise WUFI will not read it.

Hello Christian,
Thank you very much for your help.

I still have some trouble. I think I'm exporting the ASCII files correctly, but when I try to import them as initial conditions WUFI doesn't "see" them.

Please find attached a couple of screenshots, and the ASCII file I exported and I'm trying to import.

Am I missing anything?

Thank you!

Hello,

there may be an issue, if the file extension is not shown in windows. Please try to copy the full file name in the file name field.
Make sure, the file exists.

Hello Christian,
For some reason, this window of WUFI does not read my desktop folder (to be fair, it's the desktop of the host Mac, while I'm running WUFI on a virtual Window machine with Parallels).

It reads other folders, and if I move the .asc files there, WUFI reads them correctly.

Thank you,

Enrico
