Leap Year

Post by MagnusS » Wed Nov 27, 2013 2:18 am -1100

How are leap years treated in Wufi? Most climate files have 8760 hours (=normal year).

If the climate file represents a normal year (365 days) but the calculation period in Wufi contains a leap year, how is February 29th threated?
And vice versa, what happens if the climate file has 366 days but the calculation period doesn't include a leap year?

Hello Magnus,

the leap years are not included in WUFI. Every year has 8760 hours. If we use climate data from leap years, we skip/ delete the 29th February.

You will find more information about that in the online help.
