Im having the same issue using sketchup 2017.
mentioned this in another forum.
My building imports perfectly.
The shading geometry (new PHIUS shading protocol) will not import....no matter what I try.

mwinkler, thanks for the reply. We typically work on single family buildings....so single zone only. When updating geometry, most of the assemblies and systems are retained, unless there are NEW planes of geometry. Wow. im a bone head. There is a really nice export xml files that to transfer the database.
it isnt perfect...as doesnt retain the created folders.....but does transfer all the material and assembly database entries.
