Out of Memory Error

I'm doing a simulation that is taking about 1.5 days to run with a file size of about 4.2 GB.
Three attempts in a row, at 53%, my machine is getting an error "Out of Memory".
Is this referring to RAM? WUFI suggests 4+ GB of RAM and I have 64GB.

Re: Mineral wool - Condensation

Christian, I am also studying condensation within mineral wool. I'm following the WUFI Powerpoint at https://www.wufi-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1623 . I split off 1mm of mineral wool material, but it still has a water content that is basically 0 although I know RH and temp are very often hit...

Re: Zip Wall Material (Huber) definition

When you say add a 1mm thick vapor barrier, you mean to draw a rectangle on the outside of the OSB? In other words, membranes should be modeled with thickness instead of a boundary condition between 2 materials? When I import a .dxf with <mm membranes drawn, they don't graphically show in WUFI 2D. I...

Re: Resource to Predict the Critical Saturation of a Material that will Result in Freeze-Thaw Damage?

So RH% does not equal wmax?
And wmax requires a laboratory test to find; there's no reference information?

Now assume I somehow know wmax is 85%, if WUFI says a region of my material is 100% RH and under freezing temperature, that could cause damage because wmax has been exceeded?

Re: Resource to Predict the Critical Saturation of a Material that will Result in Freeze-Thaw Damage?

That's really unfortunate because it's the main thing we want to analyze on our current project. In your link to the FAQ, it says "Frost-resistant materials usually can endure freezing water contents up to at least free saturation without suffering frost damage." What is "free saturat...

Resource to Predict the Critical Saturation of a Material that will Result in Freeze-Thaw Damage?

In this article https://www.buildingscience.com/sites/default/files/migrate/pdf/CP-1013_Assessing_Freeze_Thaw_Resistance_Clay_Brick_Insulation_Retrofit.pdf a metric called "critical saturation" is referred to. This is the amount of material saturation that will result in structural damage ...

Re: WUFI Bio Time Period Pre-Requisite

I have an update. I tried a very simple analysis to troubleshoot WUFI Bio. I am just using the sine graph for climate. In WUFI Bio I can tell it's reading the full climate year. (First Image) When I look at the results, the curves only exist for the first month, which is why the traffic light is con...

WUFI Bio Time Period Pre-Requisite

I am opening a WUFI Bio file from an Isopleth Graph in WUFI Graph (Right click > Export to WUFI Bio). I can see the climate has been read from the results file which also generates a results graph, but the traffic light is greyed out. Under "Help" it says my time period is under 1 year if ...
