Re: How to Get Frozen and Liquid Water Content per Time Step?

Hi
Picking this thread back up.
Is there a way to output from WUFI the ice content in a component?
I'd like to use the Jansenns paper to assess the risk of frost damage

Textured coated brick

Hi
The textured coated brick material properties seem inconsistent.
The moisture storage function gives a water content of 89 kg/m3
The liquid transport coefficient give 320 kg/m3
I had thought these two numbers represent free water saturation and so should be the same?

When clicking 'generate' on ...

Dew point run off risk in mineral fibers vs mould assessment

Hi all

I've been following the Guideline for the evaluation and assessment of hygrothermal calculation results.
I understand what it is saying and seems like a useful guide.
However I don't understand the point of assessing condensation risk when the risk of mould growth is inevitably going to be ...

Outputting from VTT

At the moment it does not look like it is possible to output the results from VTT to allow manipulation in Excel or another software, as one can do with WUFI itself.
Is this feature going to be incorporated in the future? If not can I request it please?
VTT is quite user-friendly but it does not ...

Adobe Flash Player

The movies in the wufi wiki require Adobe Flash player.
Adobe no longer supports Flash player.
Is there another format we can view these movies in please?

Wood rot threshold for chemically-treated wood

Dear all

20% moisture content is a typical value to use when assessing wood rot.

But wood that has been protected using chemicals will presumably allow increased moisture content before the onset of rot.
I can't find any information online to suggest a suitable moisture content to use when ...

Re: Simulating unventilated cold roof

Hi Christian
That is very helpful thank you.
However I'm looking at this sort of build-up which is not in the guidelines you have linked to.
Do you think WUFI is an appropriate tool for this? Image is from EN 5250

Re: Simulating unventilated cold roof

I've also been asked to look at a cold roof situation to determine the amount of ventilation needed.
Is there any guidance on doing this in WUFI please?

Assessing condensation in mineral wool in walls

Dear all
We've been following this guidance on assessing moisture risk in a stone and brick wall insulated with mineral wool internally.
https://wufi.de/de/wp-content/uploads/sites/9/2017.07_2_How_To_Condensation_Risk.pdf

The useful guide is for a roof.
The example contains no substrate, eg timber ...

Drainage in a ventilated cavity

Hi all

I'm attempting to model a ventilated cavity as accurately as I can.
I've read the useful information in the WUFI help and here: https://wufi.de/en/service/wufi-forum/?forum=/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1968&sid=cd83f64c66fe6d2526b84fa5708d45cf
