Critical RH limit for woodfibre IWI at masonry interface
Dear Team, I am wondering what critical limit IBP use for RH at the IWI/masonry interface for a woodfibre based insulation like Steico, Pavatex, Gutex, Homotherm etc. The (presumed) absence of oxygen should mean that the limit is higher than 80%RH, but do you have a safe limit to work to when assess...

Climate files for extreme events
Could anyone please suggest which type of climate file to use for extreme events such as driving rain, .WET, .DAT, .WAC, .IWC? I have been using .TRY files.

I have quite a few TRY files for the UK. Meteonorm software will create them for you anywhere in the world or you can buy individual files from them. http://www.meteonorm.com/pages/en/meteonorm.php They come as a .TRY file (test reference year) which does not contain extreme conditions, good for som...

I have written an AWK programme that scans my ascii outputs for specific events, in my case freeze/thaw damage. It can be easily rewritten to look for different events.
I am happy to share this with anyone that needs it.

analysis of ascii outputs with awk programme on mac
Hi, I am having some trouble with an awk programme that i have co-written that scans my WUFI ascii output file. This is partly a problem with me not writing the perfect awk programm, partly because i'm doing it in terminal/darwin on my mac and also because the WUFI ascii outputs are so 'dirty' (sorr...

Hi The main person to contact at CAT regarding hemp lime is Ranyl Rhydwen, he wrote his PhD thesis on it and also has an interest in WUFI. Many of the students are researching it for their masters’ theses and he will be able to point you in the right direction. Mention my name, he knows me. : ranyl....

The .try dwd climate file I'm using has the altitude set to 0 masl. is this going to give unrealistic wind driven rain results?
