Sorption curve - 12571:2021
Dear IBP, How many samples undergo sorption testing when a material is added to the database? When I look at a sorption table am I looking at averaged results or the test of a single sample? Are there minimum sample numbers required for manufacturers when undertaking 12571 testing in the 2021 update...

Code 145 error attempting to open project file
Hi, Please could you let me know what a code 145 is when I try (unsuccessfully) to open a project file. Calculations were run by a different machine under the same license, and the file is large (6.4GB) due to an absurdly long time frame. is there a way round this?
Thanks,
Matt
Thanks,
Matt

Re: Configuring air leakage through a wall
Hi Manfred,
I am looking for additional guidance on representative air change rates for small cavities and calculations from volumetric flow rates. Have you removed a link to guidance from your post - F1?
Regards,
Matt

Re: Magnesium Oxide board
Thanks Manfred. Considering the potential issues above, I doubt any of the manufacturers will be rushing to test.

Re: Magnesium Oxide board
Dear IBP, Any news on MagOx boards? They are increasingly popular and seem to be vulnerable to moisture issues in their most usual application as render boards over a ventilated cavity in the humid UK. Is there an existing material which could be considered similar enough for adapting? Best regards,...

Re: Loose fill perlite / vermiculite
No data, or no ideas? I have found the perlite boards, but these would radically overestimate capillary transport if used without any adjustment. Any response would be very much appreciated.

Matt

Loose fill perlite / vermiculite
Dear IBP,
Do you have full material property data for loose-fill perlite? If not, would mineral wool, recycled foam glass or expanded clay be suitable with adjusted properties to reflect basic properties of perlite, or can you suggest an alternative?
Regards,
Matt

Driving rain in Meteonorm
I have run a few comparative analyses of meteonorm v. measured data files and have come up with similarly alarming discrepancies, albeit with slightly less magnitude of difference (only two locations in the UK - Camborne cornwall and Abbotsinch, Glasgow). It looks like doubling driving rain when usi...

Driving rain coefficient
Hello,
When using WUFI default driving rain coefficient rather than ASHRAE, is the calculation according to EN ISO 159273-3?
Thank you
Matt

Re: IWI/Masonry Interface - time spent at critical limit
Simon, Have you come across the Sedlbauer graphs? If not, look him up, his mould growth graphs include the influence of time on germination. However, decay is governed by moisture content and temperature. Relying on RH alone as a limit is not sufficient unless that limit is very low as a fail safe. ...

Re: Air exchange source from room conditions
Dear IBP, Do you have recommended settings for an air change source linked to internal environment to reflect minor imperfections in an airtightness membrane or VCL on the warm side of solid wall internal wall insulations? I am aware of your study into the impact of air leakage into wall build ups a...

Dear Thomas, Thankyou for your reply, it was very helpful, as always. I had found since my last post an appreciable underestimation of direct radiation in the values for global radiation when those values are above 600 w/m2 which must result from different timings of measurements (they are measured ...

replicating a field test
Hello, In order to use WUFI for an investigation into the effects of latitude, air temperature and WDR zone on summer condensation I have gathered a weather file for the time and place (global and diffuse radiation from within 100km) where the BRE conducted its original investigation. I had intended...
