Accurately modelling a foil faced breather membrane & its impact on the rainscreen void
Hi I'm looking at a closed panel timber frame buildup with breather membrane clad to outer sheathing board with ventilated void and cement board rainscseen beyond. Manufacturers state that the breather membrane is a flexible micro-perforated, multi layer laminated, low emissivity breather membrane s...

Necessary system requirements for a PC
Hi,
What are the system requirements for a PC to run WUFI Pro and 2D?
Presumably there are threshold for value for processor power, Storage capacity, RAM etc.
Regards,
Joseph

downloading an updated version of WUFI Pro and 2D
Hi, I can't see how this is done? Should be simple.
http://www.wufi.de/frame_en_downloads.html only appears to allow purchase or download of free software.
Another question should the login on that site be same as for Forum?
Thanks for help.

justifying 'air infiltration model IBP'
Hi I'm involved in an expert witness case where the opposition have claimed: 'WUFI cannot calculate the effect of 5% of a good quality vapour control membrane being missed or any other percentage other than 0% or 100%. Gaps and tears etc are localised and therefore different from reducing the vapour...

conc block material data
Hi David, I have some values for no-fines Irish conc blocks from CRH, who would be people you'd expect data from. I have no idea of the accuracy but the source I got it from would be well-informed in there. When I got this I didn't have ways of messuring rate of moisture uptake, I now do. :) In the ...

WUFI Bio
Hi David,
Re your second question below: if I remember correctly we showed you how to do this in the course in Dublin. Give me a call on Monday and I'll take you through calling-up the right point to evaluate in WUFI Bio.
Regards,
Joseph

The speed of WUFI 2D simulations
Hi, I have been told I have the right processing power and RAM on my computer for WUFI 2D (given the stated system requirements), but I’m finding it SO slow! One simulation is now running four hours and the computer tells me there is another 4 hours to go! I made commitment to a client I can’t now m...

a-values
Hi Christian,
Where do you change the a-value (in WUFI 5) and what are a sensible range of values for it?
I feel the Online Help could definitely have more about this.
Many thanks.
Regards, Joseph
