Re: Vinyl Siding

Did you ever find something decent to emulate vinyl siding?

Simulating extreme Cold North facing wind?

What would be a logical way of simulating a North facing wall that never gets any sun, gets pretty nasty winds, etc?

Or rather, which parameters should I investigate to simulate that?

Thanks!

Interior Coating can only be .1 1 10 or 5, right? I can't specify 0.03 directly?

As for adding membranes, the only one I can find in the database of the ORNL version is the 0.07 perm one. If there was one that was 0.01, I guess I could add three (if perm units are additive?)

Is it at least possible to change the perm value for the vapor barrier on the inside?

The material I used is 0.07 perm, but I want to see the difference when using perm 0.03 (the material I used on the first floor is 0.03)

What would be the cheapest option for me to change that temperature (given I need north american version since I live in Quebec)? All I'm trying to do is find out why my brand new house had a condensation problem inside the wall, and since most people you hire to 'diagnose' these issues say whatever...

Can we change the indoor temperature in free version?

Is it possible to change it? I seem to be locked to either using ASHRAE 160 or EN 15026 which use 21.1.

I want to test using 18 Celsius indoor...

For Isoclad, I figure the membrane is like Tyvek, so I added spun-bonded polyolefin membrane on the exterior side.

For ISOFOIL, I'm adding PE membrane on the inside of the Expanded poly.

Isoclad and Isofoil Materials?

Has anyone been able to reproduce the ISOCLAD and ISOFOIL products from http://www.isolofoam.com/ ?

Both are Expanded polystyrene insulation, but one has a laminated air barrier, and the other has a vapor barrier (for inside use).

Not quite sure how to enter those into WUFI...
