OSB 630 kg/m3 material data
I was reviewing the physical properties of materials that I had used for a 2D model and found that the Oriented Strand Board (615 km/m3) file does not have values for the Liquid Transport Coefficient Suction or the Liquid Transport Coefficient Redistribution. Can you provide me with these values so that I may correct my database? Thank you in advance for your help.

Dear Mr. Hamilton,
for quite a few of the wood or wood-based materials you will find that they are missing liquid transport coefficients. In these cases, the effect of liquid transport has been included in the vapor permeability, which thus becomes variable with moisture content (because liquid transport depends strongly on moisture content). The assumption here is that diffusion and liquid transport will often go in the same direction and thus can be described by one single parameter. Test calculations show that this assumption is usually justified.
Wood materials with missing liquid transport coefficients will therefore have variable vapor permeability, as is the case for the OSB board (630 kg/m3), and wood materials with explicitly given liquid transport coefficients will have constant vapor permeability. Which one of the two possibilities has been chosen depends on the data that were available.
