Hi,
Unfortunaltely for me, my location doesn't have available climatic datas in the software.
I am in Portland, Oregon in the US.
So I downloaded climatic datas on the National Climatic Data Center. I received ACSII file which I imported into Excel and then saved them as DOS text file to finally convert them into .dat. I think I'm ok up to there.
Then, the famous AGD file. As shown on page 34 of the online help, I made a AGD file with the corresponding longitude, latitude, Height AMSL and TimeZone. Same folder and all, but the software doesn't read it.
I'm guessing that my file doesn't have the same column spacing and editing like shown on page 34 of the online help. Have the blanks and specific column have to be fully respected from column 1 to 100. If so...then I'll have a lot of work to convert all that. Is there any way to convert, make or transform a spreadsheet to make sure that WUFI is going to read it.
Thanks, a WUFI beginner

Use the Excel Spreat Sheet
Dear Imguen,
for this issue we develloped an Excel Spreat Sheet (CreateClimateFiles.xls) which you will find in the tools folder. You are able to create a .KLI file or a .TRY file. I think the .TRY file is the best for you. You will need at least the following hourly data for at least one year.
Temperature,
RH,
Global Horizontal Radiation,
Diffuse Horizontal Radiation,
Normal Rain,
Wind Speed,
Wind Direction
Also you will need longitude, latitude,Height and dUTC.
The .agd file will also be created by this spread sheet.

Tools Folder
Hi Manfred,
Thanks for your quick answer. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but what tools folder. There's none in WUFI, or is there?? Could you just send the excel file to my email address.
Thanks again,
