Hello,
I am working on a model in WUFI1D to estimate the risk dependence of mould growth and unfavourable internal conditions on the condition of joint/pointing in a historic building. The building is to have breathable wood fibre insulation, but recommendations on insulation thickness up to now have assumed "ideal" build up conditions. We are proposing to do additional simulations with moisture sources at 20, 50 and 70mm from the external surface, at a fraction of incident rain.
Does this sound the best way (in WUFI1D) to assess the additional risk due to pointing cracks/gaps? What fraction of rain values would be sensible/representative of the moisture that might penetrate the facade?
Thanks
