Hi fellow WUFI-users!
We are two students writing our bachlelor thesis about moisture problem in medieval churches. There are several data loggers (Hyrgrotrac) placed in the church which we have gathered information from. So our assignment is to modell the church in WUFI and try different methods to improve the hygrothermal situation in the church. We are wondering how we are supposed to calibrate the modell so our output is the same as the information as we gathered.
We have our oudoor climate but we need to adjust the indoor climate so when we calculate in WUFI we get the same results as the data loggers measure. Afterwards the mission will be to adjust the indoor climate with heating and dehumidification to get a safer climate.
Another question we have; is if it is legit to use the information from the data loggers as the indoor climate (they measure; RH,temp, absolute humidity, dew point and moisture content)
Any pointers or tips will be very appreciated!

Re: How to calibrate indoor climate?
Hello Jesper and Hendric,
in the first step I would use the indoor logger data as indoor conditions. You also can use a sine curve and fit it to logger data. Best would be to set up data for a hole year, because with shorter climate data you can not calculate multiple years to extend the information on the hydrothermal behavior.
You can generate your own climate files with the excel-sheet CreateClimateFile.xls.
More info: search.php?keywords=createclimatefile&t ... mit=Search
The use of measured data from loggers is a typical procedure for the calculation of the behavior of existing constructions or for validation of the calculation.

So then we will start with to use the measurements from the data loggers as the indoor climate and see what that leads us. We will probably return with more question when they arise...
Re: How to calibrate indoor climate?
We have one small problem/question. If we use the logger data as indoor climate, containing RH and temperature, do we have to adjust the other tabs (EN 15016, ISO 13788, ASHRAE 160). We have noticed that when we adjust some parameters the results differ a lot.Christian Bludau wrote:Hello Jesper and Hendric,

If just use the logger data and just press calculate, are the above namned tabs disabled?

Hello Jesper and Hendric,
you have to select the indoor climate file in the Map/File tab. If you select another tab (EN, ASHRAE...) your file is not used, but the selected climate.
