Hello,

We got a reply in Japanese on the definite issue of radiant heat source in the forum on WUFI Japan.
In order to double check the influenced conditions of this issue, I would wonder whether the distribution of incident solar radiation through a window can be affected by the issue.

Please let us to know the target phenomena and conditions which could be affected by the radiant heat source issue.
Also I would like to know the approximate date for the next release of WUFI Plus.

Hello,

the issue/bug in the current named release version is the absorbed radiation on the outer side of components (inner opaque components), coupled to two different zones. For example, if you set zone 1 on the inner side and zone 2 on the outer side of a component, the outer side doesn't absorb radiation form zone 2. In ohter words the inner radiation heat source and the incident solar radiation in zone 2 is neglected on the outer side of the component. This will be fixed in the upcomming release version.

Components with "space with the same inner conditions" on the outer side and components with the same zone defined on the inner are not affected by this issue. They absorb the same incident solar radiation and inner radiant heat source on the outer side as on the inner side.

Components with the same zone defined on both sides (real inner walls in one zone) are not affected by this issue. They absorb the incident solar radiation and inner radiant heat source on the outer side as on the inner side regading the inner solar gain distribution factor. This factor is per default equal proportional to the surface areas.

The next release date is scheduled for the middle of april 2015.
