May I know how I should do a simulation for column? 500 x 500 square column?

thank you

Hi,
depends on what you like to see. If rising moisture is the question, you can do a vertical section including the ground.
If you like to see eg. the drying behavior you can do a horizontal section with exterior boundary conditions on four sides.

Dear Christian,
Thank you for your advise.
Do you mean to do this with WUFI 2D?
1) For vertical section, how do I input rising moisture in the simulation?
2) for horizontal section, how do I input the rising moisture in the simulation? and
3) how do you specify external conditions on 4 sides? I thought we only can have internal and external side?

Appreciate your advise

Yes, I was thinking about WUFI 2D, as you posted the topic in the 2D section.
1) for rising moisture you need to create a boundary condition which offers water in every time step. For that you could use the "CreateClimateFile.xls" in WUFIs tools folder and create a kli-File with rain.
2) in the horizontal section rising damp can not taken in account.
3) in WUFI 2D you can assign any climate to any boundary
Best regards,
Christian
