Hi,
How could I define a material that is something like below (limestone, mortar and voids) in WUFi 1D?
if not possible, what would you recommend me?
Thanks in advance

Re: LIMESTONE RUBBLE INFILL
I would use WUFI 2D for this problem.
In WUFI 1D you need to make simulations on 2 cuts. One cut through the limestone only, on through the limestone/rubble/limestone section.
For both, WUFI 1D and WUFI 2D, the material properties of the rubble can be achieved by measurements using representative samples. Moisture storage function, ASTM C1498, and liquid transport coefficients, and ASTM C1794 seem the most important properties for me.
Best,

Re: LIMESTONE RUBBLE INFILL
thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, it is a historical building and access to limestone rubble is impossible to get a representative sample, so I asked for an advice.
Would you give validity to the analysis of the case study (page 180 of 256, Figure 82) in the file below to define a mix of stone and mortar as a 3 layer model: stone/mortar/stone?
