Atmospheric Pressure

Post by JonathonTaylor »

Hi,

I've been using WUFI 2D to look at the vapour diffusion resistance factors of materials drying. It seems that WUFI will use atmospheric pressure from climate files to calculate this factor. If the climate file doesn't contain this information, then the altitude is used. However, what if there is no atmospheric pressure data available? Is there a default value used? What if the atmospheric pressure in a weather file is unrealistic - does it default to a more sensible value?

Also, and on a completely unrelated note, where is the 'origin' of cells in the grid exported by WUFI? Is it in the middle, one of the sides, or does WUFI pick an origin based on the boundary elements, and assuming we are interested in material edges and boundaries?

Thanks,

Jonathon

Dear Jonathon,

if no air pressure at the exterior climate is available, a pressure of 1013 hPa will be used
