Incomplete Results in WUFI Graph

Post by jennzee »

Hi -

I've run a model for a wall section over the course of 5 years. However, the results in WUFI Graph show a graph where the x-axis goes from year 1 to year 5, but the results are only plotted for the first year.

My first instinct was to check the Computational Parameters, but my "Number of Time Steps" is correctly designated at 43800. What might I be doing wrong?

Thanks for your feedback.

Hello jennzee,

this behavior is probably caused by an convergence failure, which leads to a supersaturation of a material and causes WUFI to write only zeros in the following results (check the values for theta and phi in the processing window, they are zero after the first year).
There are many possible reasons. Sometimes it is the grid, sometimes it is caused by the moisture storage function of a certain material, sometimes it is the combination of materials. This can also happen if you use a material with a quite low moisture storage function at a position where interstitial condensation leads to a supersaturation of this material. Open the WufiMotion and go to the last time step with results. Sometimes there is a high peak in the water content.
