Re: Absorption test and drying process
Then, if there is rain, it is indifferent the value selected for the liquid transport coefficient for redistribution? Because the moisture transfer is mainly due to suction and not due to redistribution? I performed several simulations considering the .kli file (rain) and it is indifferent consider ...

Re: Absorption test and drying process
Hello, Thanks, ok. But, what the coefficient of redistribution means? Because, I generated automatically this value in both simulations but the results over time continue to be very different. The upper part of the test specimen (from 1552 to 2000 mm), which is not affected by absorption water from ...

Absorption test and drying process
Hello, I am trying to simulate the drying process of a test specimen of stone during two years (200x2000 mm). We considered the following initial conditions: the temperature is T=20ºC and the water content is the free water saturation. We considered the upper surface as a adiabatic border, lateral s...

Surface heat transfer coefficients and heat flux when U=0 W/m2K
Hello, We have a little doubt. We are trying to simulate the drying process of a material with WUFI-2D. In allways simulation that we had performed until now we considered a surface heat transfer coefficients of 8 or 17-25 W/m2K for indoor or outdoor surfaces respectively. However, we want to simula...
Porosity
Hi,
I have a little question: the porosity of the materials to be entered in material database editor is the open porosity or closed?
In accordante to this http://www.wufi.de/wufi/grundl_grund_e.html I think that it is the open porosity.
Thanks,

Re: Open version 2.1 projects with WUFI-2D version 3.3
Hello Veit, Thanks! It runs but it does not keep some information interesting for my investigation (grid, positions of the monitors, ...). However, I have different results with two versions when I use a user defined material. If I use a database material (example: Sander sandstone) the results are ...

Open version 2.1 projects with WUFI-2D version 3.3
Hello, I want to study the differences between version 2.1 and version 3.3 of WUFI-2D in a project. I have some projects in version 2.1. and I want to open them with version 3.3. Is it possible? If I can not export the entire project, I would like to export, at least, the geometry and the grid. In v...

I can´t visualize user defined series in saved files
Hello, I am working on WUFI Graph 2.5.0. and I can´t visualize user defined series in saved files. I can create and save them but, when I reopen the graphic project, nothing of them are on graphs. I can visualize water content, temperature and relative humidity series but graphs with user defined se...
