rel. humidity

Post by malimog »

hi
actually i have a roof composed from OSB,mineral wool, vapor retarder and gypsum. i simulated roof by wufi and in the film i can see a peak relative humidity between OSB and minerl wool .it is increasing in OSB and decreasing in mineral wool.
would you please tell me how relative humidity changes across the roof??

What you see is probably the redistribution of the roof's initial moisture content. You presumably started the roof with a constant initial distribution of relative humidity, but if the exterior side of the mineral wool is cooler than the interior side during the calculation, the relative humidity will become higher at the cooler side, and some moisture will migrate from the warm side towards the cool side of the mineral wool.
