Hi there
I'm wondering if anyone has data for properties of the adhesive that is recommended to install Calcium Silicate insulation, such as Calsitherm?
Many thanks
Nicole

To provide a reasonable drying potential to the inside the adhesive should have similar properties like the CaSi - so simply neclect it in your simulation.
Another possibility would be to use a vapor permeable adhesive with low liquid transport - in this case use a 1 mm layer of CaSi and switch of the liquid transport to check if this changes or betters the situation...
best regards
Daniel

Calsitherm Adhesive properties
Hi there, thanks for the reply. I managed to get the following properties for the adhesive from the manufacturer:
Thermal conductivity [W/mK]0.93
Bulk density[kg/ m³]1410
Porosity [m³/m³]0.468
Spec. heat capacity[J/(kgK)]1059
Water vapour diffusion resistance 35

Re: Calcium Silicate
Hallo!
I`m not able to find a material in the WUFI- Material Data Base, which corresponds to the calcium silicate insulation. Thanks!

Re: Calcium Silicate
There are two Ca-Si-Boards in the database source TU-Vienna.
