No effect of transient heat source from file on inner wall

Post by Bernd »

Hello everbody,

I want to insert several panel heatings, thus I import a .txt file in the menu 'File/ Measured Data'. First column is time (1 to 8760 hours), second column contains the heat flux and is assigned 'numeric value'. 'Check consistency' delivers 'Data OK'.
After this I choose the desired assembly respectively the dialog 'inner sources' within. Then I insert a new source (spread over whole layer, gypsum board in this case; transient heat source from file) and select the imported file. The column is set to 2 where the heat flux is stored as mentioned.
The calculation shows the same results for different heat flux values, even if they spread over a vast range. For example 10W/m² or 10000W/m² in the mentioned source file result in the same surface or air temperature. I also tried other assignments like 'solar radiation' without any effect.
I hope someone can be of help. Thank you!

Inner Sources from File

Post by antretterf »

Dear Bernd,

there was really a problem with reading inner sources from file in older WUFI Plus Versions, but this bug is fixed now. Please send an email to hilfe@wufi.de to get a link for downloading the bugfixed version.

Best regards
Florian
