ACH for a ventilated cavity

Post by eordner »

I'm modeling a wall system with a terra cotta rainscreen and would like to model the cavity behind the rainscreen with an Air Change Source. What is the appropriate way to approximate a ventilated cavity? (i.e.- accurate values for ACH) Also, does WUFI read excel files for the air change source?

There is an example file (AirChangeRate.txt) in the project folder and also a Example Project (Example_USA_Leakage_Vent.w4p) showing you how to do it.

Hi Talev,

you can find the files in your program folder under \IBP-Software\WUFI5\Projects\.

The AirChangeRate.txt is a simple ASCII File with two columns, first one is time [h] and second one airchange in [1/h].
For specific information see the help file in the sources section.

Best regards,
Christian
