Making WUFI files smaller
I can't be sure - if I simplify a WUFI file and Save - e.g. fewer Cases, shorter time run, fewer monitors, accept more defaults etc - does the file get smaller? Some WUFI files are huge, impossible to email or upload to forum.

Re: Making WUFI files smaller
To email or upload WUFI-files to the forum you can save the projekt file without result data. Therefore please go to "Options -> Result Data" and uncheck "Film data" and "Courses/Profiles". Then the WUFI file gets very small.

That's good - thanks - but still the question 'fewer Cases, shorter time run, fewer monitors, accept more defaults etc' - do these reduce file size, once Saved? Also e.g. switching off Explicit Long Wave Balance?

Hello Tom,
the main file size depends on the number of grid elements, calculated time and the number of cases. The influence of the monitor positions is low, as well as there should be no influence in switching on or off some settings like explicit radiation balance.
Best way is to save files without "film data". You can hook it off in Options -> Result Data and save again.
If you want to see the film (movie) after reopen, you will have to calculate again.

Thanks Christian - that's clear.
