Rammed Earth Material Database
Rammed Earth Material Database
Hi I am a student in Dublin Institute of Technology Ireland. I am performing a thesis based on the hygrothermal performance of rammed earth. Have you any advice for creating a material database for rammed earth or is there a similar database that could be altered?

Hello Morris,
as far as i know there is no rammed earth in the WUFI DB.
A close material could be "Mud plaster" or "Clay mortar" from the MASEA Database. You can try to use that as basic material and change the values.

Morris, that is v interesting - are you going to do any testing/data creation? I hope that we'll get to hear about whatever you find! Might be worth a post on http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=4770 ... ps-b-grp-v

Is it too early to give an outline of what you're doing?
