Rammed Earth Material Database

Post by Morris »

Hi I am a student in Dublin Institute of Technology Ireland. I am performing a thesis based on the hygrothermal performance of rammed earth. Have you any advice for creating a material database for rammed earth or is there a similar database that could be altered?

Hello Morris,
as far as i know there is no rammed earth in the WUFI DB.
A close material could be "Mud plaster" or "Clay mortar" from the MASEA Database. You can try to use that as basic material and change the values.

Yes I have constructed three walls and am currently carrying out testing regarding moisture content.

Is it too early to give an outline of what you're doing?
