How to activate Window overhangs for shading incident solar radiation

Post by hs »

According to the description on "Window overhang" in the wufi plus 2.x wiki page (http://www.wufi-wiki.com/mediawiki/inde ... Components) , it is clearly described that Wufi Plus 2.x accounts for the shading cast by the overhang.
The geometries of a window overhang can be specified in the panel of "window overhang", however it does affect nothing to the temperature or cooling and heating load at all.

Let me know how to activate the Window overhang in the wufi plux 2.5.3 computation.

--------------[ Window overhang description given in the wufi plus wiki page ]--------------
If a window is overhung by anything, the radiation arriving at the window is reduced at certain positions of the sun. Therefore values of a overhung can be entered and WUFI®plus accounts for the shading cast by it. Click "New" to create a new overhang. You can create several, new ones are added to the list with the "New" Button (For more information on working with these buttons click here. Click "Edit" to enter values for:
Depth: How far does the overhang emerge?
Top Spacing: How far is the vertical distance between overhang and window?
Side Spacing: How far does the overhang reach beyond the sides of the window?
