Hello,
I am looking for details on how to create floor and ceiling assemblies. I am having no trouble creating wall assemblies in the proper orientation and with proper exchange materials. However, when attempting to create a ceiling assembly or floor assembly, the orientation relative to the Z axis is not correct. Then when attempting to properly add exchange materials, the orientation and geometries are not right. I was unable to find any good information in the manuals or examples. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
John

Re: Creating Floor and Ceiling Assemblies
Hello John Bartels,
opaque assemblies in WUFI Passive can be applied to every assembly type, e.g. walls, ceilings, floors, ... Thus the "Edit assembly" dialog treats them equally and doesn't distinguish between different types. The assembly's 3D-visualization always uses the same definition:

- x-axis: The main material layers are drawn in x-direction
- y-axis: Horizontal subdivisions are drawn in y-direction
- z-axis: Vertical subdivisions are drawn in z-direction
