help me to solve this error

Post by Masoud Valinejad »

Before running I have faced a error.
I have attached the picture of this error here. Could you please help me?
I think, every thing is ok, but I don't know what to do

Please see the blue marked part in your screenshot. You probably want to assign the ASHRAE 160 model to the indoor and not to the outdoor climate

Dear Manfred,

I can't understand what you said,
I have chosen Ashrae 160 to indoor and outdoor, and select "Use Left Climate"
Please find new attachments in which Outdoor and Indoor options are shown.

If this is what you want then it should be fine to go. It is a warning and not an error.

Thanks for clarification,
and about to message in this warning
- Selected climate for left surface does not contain sufficient data for calculation of an oriented wind-dependent rain load; wind dependency will be ignored.

- Climate file selected for left surface does not contain any rain data

Do you have any idea about them?

Hi Masoud,
these are simply warnings that the climate file you specified contains no wind data and no rain data. If your simulation doesn't need wind or rain data, this is okay. But if your simulation requires wind and/or rain data, the results may not be what you expect.

For example, if it is important for your simulation to take the moisture load caused by driving rain into account, you need both wind and rain data in your climate file. Otherwise, WUFI cannot compute what the driving rain load on the simulated component is. Driving rain can then not be taken into account and the simulation results may be misleading.

Another case where wind data is needed is the optional wind-dependent heat transfer coefficient. If you are using the option to compute the hourly heat transfer coefficient in dependence of the wind, WUFI needs wind data in the weather file.

Regards,
Thomas
