LIMs experssion

Post by WEI LI »

Hi experts,

Could you please provide me the experssion of the LiMs curves? I want to reproduce the curves using Excel.

Hi WEI LI,

the LIM curves are described by the hyperbolic cosine function as follows:

\(\varphi_\mathrm{lim} = \frac{\cosh(a \cdot (b-x)) + c}{100}\)

(where \(\varphi_\mathrm{lim}\) is expressed as a fraction \(0 ... 1\))

with the constants

Code: Select all

LIM 0: a = 0.128324 b = 30 c = 69
LIM I: a = 0.128324 b = 30 c = 75
LIM II: a = 0.128324 b = 30 c = 78.29
Kind regards,
Thomas

Thanks for your reply.
Is it from Sedlbauer, K. (2001). Vorhersage von Schimmelpilzbildung auf und in Bauteilen: Lehrstuhl fur Bauphysik.?

Yes, the procedure used by WUFI-Bio is based on this thesis. But I think the mathematical function and the numerical values quoted above have been adopted for the numerical implementation in WUFI-Bio, you won't find them in the thesis.

Kind regards,
Thomas

Dear Wei Li,
there is also an English version available of this PhD:
