Hi!
So i was wondering about glulam in WUFI 2D.
Can't seem to find the material in the database, only CLT Xlam.
And i was wondering if it is possible to use the xlam wood panel and xlam glue layer and make a
glulam construction?
Does it give the construction the right moisture characteristics?
How do you suggest I build a glulam construction in WUFI 2D?
Thank you in advance!
Best regards
Agnes

HI Agnes,
yes, you can build a glulam layer with the Xlam materials. Please see the material information of Xlam glue and wood on how to combine them.
Another material which you could use is StoraEnsoCLT, but that is used as one layer, so its not possible to divide between the wood and glue layers.

Re: Glulam WUFI 2D
Hi again!
Thank you so much for your respons.
Is it possible to combine the material "softwood" with the xlam glue layer?
I noticed that det µ-value is smaller in the xlam wood panel than in soft wood (for some of the RH), how come?
I thought most of the glulam och clt beams where made out of soft wood?

Dear Agnes,
you can combine softwood with glue, but we do not have any information about if that will create realistic results. I guess that the glue will intrude some mm in the wood, which probably also will change the properties some way.
