Wufi crashes after adding hygrotermal source

Post by Gesa »

Hello!

I am using WUFI for my thesis. Therefore I am using it for simulating the temperature profile during the hardening of concrete. I am trying to simulate the hydration heat by using a thermal source. But as soon as I add any thermal source to my model, WUFI crashes without any error. I checked all my input data already, without the thermal source WUFI runs perfectly (with this model). And I tested if WUFI calculates thermal sources at all with another model, and it does. Is it simply the lack of enough memory of my PC or could it be a WUFI problem relating to thermal sources?
I would be quite happy about any answer,

Regards,
Gesa

Dear Gesa,

what kind of source did you use, from file or a fraction of the boundary condition?

How high is the source value.

Try to reduce the time step.

I used a source from file with following values:

[h] [W/m²]
0 0
1 0.08
2 0.27
3 0.37
4 0.42
5 0.43
4 0.43
7 0.41
8 0.4
9 0.38
10 0.36
11 0.34
12 0.33

I wanted to run the calculation just for 24 hours, with a time step of 1h. Just reduced the time step to 12 h, but WUFI still crashes immediately...

Dear Gesa,

delete the first line of your file. A Source definition at time=0h is a logical fault.
