Hello all,
we are investigating a building component (cantilever roof) for which we want to run simulations with exterior climate on both sides (inside and outside should be exterior climate).
Does WUFI recognize, that the "interior" (lower side of the cantilever roof, still outside) should not use parameters like rain, sun, counter radiation (...) in the calculations or should we create a custom file out of the weatherfile and delete rain, sun, etc.
Thank you!
Philipp
Exterior Climate on both sides
Re: Exterior Climate on both sides
Dear Philipp,
as currently programmed, WUFI cannot take rain, short-wave radiation and long-wave radiation into account on the right-hand side of the component (which is usually the indoor side). So you don't need any special climate file. Just assign your normal climate file to the right-hand component surface and start the calculation. WUFI will display a warning
. .
and since this is precisely what you want, just acknowledge the warning and proceed with the calculation.
Kind regards,
Thomas
