Hello,
I am modelling a balcony on WUFI Pro to determine if there is a risk of condensation within the floor. What should be the boundary conditions to be applied to the front and back of the floor? Both sides are outdoors, but are there phenomena that lead to differences in temperature and relative humidity between the front and back sides?
Do you know of any studies I can refer to to answer my question?
Thank you

Re: boundary conditions balcony
Hi crwc,
so this is a horizontal slab of material, exposed to "exterior" climatic conditions both at the top and at the bottom?
The temperature and the relative humidity of the ambient air should be the same on both sides, but the top side is also exposed to solar radiation, rain and night-time cooling through loss of thermal radiation. These influences will be mitigated by the fact that a facade is nearby which shelters the balcony from the influences originating from one half of the sky.
Regards,
Thomas
