Rain shield between two layers

Post by Raymond »

Hello,

How to represent a rain shield wich is not located on the outer surface but between two layers of materials

We think proceed as that :

- We will use the same method as for vapor retarders to determine an effective menbrane.

- We don't know the heat capacity (we wait a manufacturer answer) we think use a heat capacity of 1500 J/kg.K (as for organic materials) is appropriate as a first approximation.

The use of zero values for liquid transport coefficients is it sufficient to represent the rain shield ?

Thanking you by advance.
Greetings.

Hello Raymond,

I think you approach is OK.
The exact heat capacity for a 1 mm thick layer is not important.
