In addition to my prior question how do you deal with insulation that has a foil backing?

I think the best is to use a seperate material for this foil.
Go to the catalog "membranes".

I looked at the Catalog and couldn't find anything to do with membranes.
Where do I find this data?

Do you have the PRO version?
please change in your profiles the "Used WUFI versions" because we have currently ORNL, PRO and Light in Release 4.0.

Go to the Datasource IBP. There you´ll find this catalog.

Manfred,
I agree it is simple but complex.
I found the membrane listing but there was no foil backing.
How do I add this to the material?

Hi Charles,

As far as the foil faced membrane, please use another membrane with the same vapor permeance. Radiation transport is not considered within the wall structure, except within the air layer.

Thanks for the reply, I'll see if I can find a similar material with the same permeance.
How is Bavaria? I hope to meet some of the people at IBP in mid- September.
