Re: Breathable roofing felt
Dear Thomas, I am so deeply grateful for your detailed and explanative answer and explanation on this topic. My understanding on diffusion flow has been expanded much higher and I am now more confident in applying this to constructions and understanding WUFI's task to compute the variable vapor flow...

Breathable roofing felt
Dear support, I am a bit confused by how a membrane is simulated vapour open to the outside but water tight. I have a d=1.6mm PVC roofing felt (PROTAN SE) on the exterior surface of an unventilated roof-structure. The Sd-value of the PVC membrane is 22m (ISO 12572:2001) Watertight at 10kPa according...

Mould post-processor for WUFI 2D
Dear forum,
I have used Wufi BIO and WUFI Mould index VTT with Wufi Pro 6 before.
Now I am using WUFI 2D and I want to post-process the mould risk in my construction from the results of the simulations.
Does there exist an Add-on, post-processor or a way to do this?
Warm regards, Jóhann

Re: DensElement™ BARRIER SYSTEM
Hi Manfred, i. I want to simulate a roofing felt. The roofing felt should be open. That is, vapour can pass out of the construction but liquid will not pass through it into the construction. Is this doable in WUFI? 1. So what is the vapour transfer coefficient if the permeance is 1823 ng/m2•s•Pa (is...

DensElement™ BARRIER SYSTEM
Dear forum, I want to simulate the a roof with roofing felt as DensElement™ BARRIER SYSTEM from wufi database. The DensElement™ BARRIER SYSTEM is in the WUFI material database and should be watertight but lets vapour out through the construction according to its technical guide. I need the Sd-value ...

Re: Explicit radiation balance
Hi,
i. So my understanding is that the counterradiation is therefore estimated from the cloud octans of every hour from my weather data (even though 0.66 is the input there).
Thank you very much.
Jóhann

Re: Explicit radiation balance
Dear Manfred, Thank you for your answer. 1. Yes using a annual constant cloud index which you can change in your inputs I have hourly cloud index in octans in my weather data for Iceland (as seen in the figure before). i. Does the annual constant cloud index, (which I presume is the 0.66 from the fi...

Explicit radiation balance
Dear forum, I am simulating a roof with 30°slope in WUFI 2D, the roofing felt under the metal deck (the metal deck and air space is not simulated, rain turned off). I have created a weather file with data from a meteorological station. I did not receive any data on counterradiation from the station....

Re: External water repellent gypsum board
Hi Christian, Thank you for your answers. Just to clearify: I. The second possibility: a. " For that you can change the existing exterior gypsum board to fit with your values " , I am not fully sure what is meant by this, could you explain this? b. If I use a ventilated gap element, I simp...

Re: External water repellent gypsum board
Hi Christian, The panels are used under a roofing felt. See attached image. I agree that it is strange that the Sd-value is the same of a regular gypsum plate whereas the GU-X is wax coated. I will ask the producer regarding the value. In the image below you can see the section of the roof. As there...

External water repellent gypsum board
Dear forum, I am interested in simulating a roof with gypsum boards as weather boards. The type of board I am looking at is this GU-X 9 MM gypsum board from Norgips. It is a regular gypsum board with a water reppellent surface treatment (wax). (https://norgips.no/produkter/spesialplater/utvendig-gu-...
