Allright. From another thread in here I have: "You must therefore adjust the mu value ("résistance à la diffusion de vapeur") in order to have a Sd of 18m: Sd=mu*thickness => mu=18m/0,001m=18000" And as my laquer would then be 1 mm thick, and my laquer has sd = 3m, I have: mu = 3...

Hi Christian

Thanks for the very fast reply. I have used the surface sd-value on the laquered surfaces which face outwards. But here it is in between two elements. Here i cannot add a surface condition, correct?

Laquer between two items

Hi

I have a construction where a piece of laquered wood is sitting next to another item (both right next to and with a distance of 5 mm), how would you suggest that I make the laquer, of which i know the sd-value?

Thank you in advance!

Allright... I have previously made models with 0.1 mm as the smallest division without any problems. So this time I must have been unlucky. I will try and simplify the construction.

Same problem!

Hi

I am experiencing the same issue, have reviewed the geometry and cannot find an error. Any eplanation?

Hi Veit

Thank you for your answer. I know about the excel file, and i was searching for help in how the climate data should be set?

Kind regards, JSH

Item submerged in water

I am wondering if it would be possible to simulate an item that is partly or completely submerged in water? Is there any way to adjust the boundary conditions so it simulates something like that?

Thanks, JSH.

Hi Christian. Thank you for your quick answer! An additional question: My simulations terminates after long time, with the comment that: "inner iterations diverge". Hwo do i prevent the iterations form diverging? is the somehow linked to the vapour retarders that i have in my geometry? Tha...

Calculation time?

First, to lay out the setup: - I have a model with 260*280 nodes - My PC is a 1,66GHz Intel Core (2) processor, with 2 GB ram When i had not set the thermal conductivity and short/long wave values to the boundary conditions, a calculation took about 10 hours. But since i added these boundary conditi...

Minimum component

I am making a model of an object where some of the components are rather small. For example of a height or width of 0.4 mm. What is the limitation of WUFI? I ask because when the rectangles are drawn, the sometimes do not appear in the geometry or is represented with 1 mm.

Thanks, Jeppe

Vielen dank for the quick answer Christian!

I have an additional question: How do i go about creating an L-shaped air gap?

Thanks, Jeppe

Hello

If you had to use an air gap of for example 75 mm, would it be valid to combine a layer of 50 mm with one of 25 mm?

Thanks,
Jeppe
