floating point division error

Post by robbin »

When I run my calculation I get a "floating point division by zero" error. I can run the calculation for 2 years, but when I try to expand it out beyond two years I get the error.

Hi robbin,
do you use sources? What location do you use for weather data?

I am using moisture sources.

I'm using climate data for Fairbanks, Alaska, that I've put together using the create climate spreasheet. That seems to be my problem, using a location from the map works just fine. I have 3 years of local weather data that I've exported to a .wac file. Any ideas what sort of errors in my weather data file I should be looking for?

If it is the weather file which causes a division by zero error, there may be an entry with barometric pressure = 0.

I have checked the barometric pressures, there are no 0 values.

Could the error come from the 3 year length of my weather data? When my calculations run the current date runs up for almost 3 years and then jumps back a year before giving me the error message.

Hello Robbin,
please check if you have a dataset of three complete years. If there are lines missing, Wufi can not jump back to the beginning if you calculate longer than three years. Please check if your climate file contains exactly 26280 hours...
