does anybody know, how to define a thin layer within the wall that has water characteristics. It is supposed to simulate a capillary network in the exterior walls.
Dear Philip,
heat and moisure sources can be placed in the wanted elements of the calcualtion grid. As the wall is only expressed in an one dimensional section in WUFI Plus, you only can define a moisture source parallel to the surfaces, but not perpendicular to the surfaces.
That could be expressed using WUFI 2D.

maybe I need a different approach. I just created my own layer embedded in aerated concrete. Now I want to add a heat source for the whole layer (the whole layer should have a temperature of 20°C). Therefore I need to upload a file. How can I upload or create this file? I attached the screenshot for you to see.
Philip,
The only way to create a heat source which keeps your layer at a constant temperature is:
1) perfom a calculation with a source
2) export the average temperature of your layer.
3) calculate externally the source/sink on an hourly bases you need to keep your desired temperature
4) recalculate within WUFI
Iterate steps 2) to 4) until your source file does not change anymore which should be at the point where your layer has the desired temperature

Enjoy WUFI® .... It is easy and complex.
Could you explain me, how I can perform step 2) "export the average temperature of your layer" ?
Or should I just take the average temperature calculated by WUFI to calculate my heat source externally? But then how does the recalculation (Step4)) work....eventually I need to import an external file to the software, right?
If you have an insulation somewhere, most likely there is not a big temp gradient within the air layer, so just use the temperature in the middle.
Yes import from file!

But it's not running, the page is just white (reloading the page doesn't bring any change). Any chance you can send me the video or any other suggestions how I can get it run?
