Hi,
I am trying to simulate a ICF wall in WUFI pro but i am unsure about the assumptions I established:
the wall is:
Acrylic stucco (I defined the stucco as an external sd-value in the tab "surface transfer coeff" )
EPS 240 mm
Concrete 150 mm
EPS 75 mm
Gypsum12.5 mm
QUESTION 1: does the layers typical for this type of construction?
I modelled two moisture source.
the first one simulation a crack in the window sill representing a rain leakage (1%) ,
QUESTION 2: is it right to do in this way and in the position I did it?
the second one, behind the concrete representing a infiltration leakage (0.6 m3/m2h) because it is more vapor resistant (higher mu-value) than the EPS so it is trapped in that position,
QUESTION 3: Is it again right this asumption?
QUESTION 4: is the acrylic stucco used in ICF systems as an external layer? do you recommend other material?
QUESTION 5; Do i put the "adhering fraction of rain" equal to 0?
in regards to initial moisture content,
QUESTION 6: is it right to consider this initial values clicking the option "in each layer"? the concrete ones is the most critical an it is equivalent to 95% RH
this is the results (I hope it is clear each case/position)
QUESTION 7: Is a problem to have such amount of RH in the external EPS of the ICF wall? what problems can caused apart from lower energy performance?
In regard to VTT model in sensity materials like concrete,
QUESTION 8: how can I perform a mould growth analysis? this is what VVT help says:
"The material sensitivity properties are categorised. For example the concrete products do not allow any kind
of biological growth before the material surface parts are fully carbonated. Typically, this takes much longer than
the drying of initial moisture from the material. Thus, the mould criteria should not be applied for fresh concrete
products or their boundaries with other material layers".
Any idea?

Re: ICF model + VTT in concrete material
i forgot to add the next comment for a SIPs system,
QUESTION 9: does it make sense to define the rain leakage in the middle of the insulation due to window poor workmanship but the infiltraation in the cold side of the insulation?
Thanks in advance because there are a lot questions
