Re: Acrylic wall paint on an internal surface

Hello James, you can use the "Surface transfer coefficient / Interior surface / Sd value" to account for the additional resistance for the water vapor flow due to the paint on the interior surface. The value highly depends on the used kind of paint and manufacturer. Therefore I recommend t...

SHGC in WUFI Plus

Especially in "Step 6: Setting of Inner Loads (Occupancy Schedule)" it is explained how to create schedules - this also applies to the set-point schedules.

Inner Sources from File

Dear Bernd,

there was really a problem with reading inner sources from file in older WUFI Plus Versions, but this bug is fixed now. Please send an email to hilfe@wufi.de to get a link for downloading the bugfixed version.

Best regards
Florian

High surface temperature

Hello, without knowing your exact model it is hard to assess possible problems. Please check the provided weather file - and check the surface resistances as well as the absorption/emission coefficients. In a combination with high absorption coefficients and high exterior surface resistances a tempe...

WUFI Plus Frame Factor

The frame factor is the ratio of transparent area of your window to the whole window. The U-factor in WUFI Plus is the overall U-factor of the whole window (glazing and framing). So for your heat loss/gain the whole window area is multiplied with the U-factor. Your solar gains on the other hand can ...

Dear Mr. Panic,

please change the view mode from "Normal" to "Print Layout" and the plot buttons will no longer be blocked, thus plotting of the results will be allowed.

You can also have a look at

Dew Point Export

You can export temperature and relative humidity data and calculate the dew point temperature out of that data. A direct dew point temperature export is not available.

Total Resistance

For the calculation of the total resistance in WUFI Plus the thermal conductivity of the dry material is used. WUFI Pro takes the influence of humid materials into account for the overall R-value calculation.

Total Water Content

The total water content in WUFI Plus is in the units kg/m³ - which is different to the interpretation in WUFI Pro (see Thomas reply). So please multiply the result of WUFI Plus by your component thickness (or divide the result of WUFI Pro by the component thickness) to compare the results of the two...

Sloped roof

Do you try to simulate the roof assemblies in WUFI Pro or in WUFI Plus?
Without your input file it is not possible to assess why you get such different total water contents.
